Meanwhile in Mexico.....Today we check out the performance differences in a strait line with the 2012 Nissan 370z and the 2010 Lotus Evora!! The Z has more horsepower and 200 more pounds, so I was guessing it would probably pull 1 car length on the Evora. Turns out, given the much different gear ratios and light weight aspects of the Evora. Both cars come our nearly neck and neck! The z will just slightly pull on the Evora in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. But when the Z has to shift into 4th gear, the Evora is still in 3rd, and starts to barely pull ahead!
The tests all started close to the 4k RPM mark on both cars which was very optimal for these engines.

370Z: Test done in SPORT Mode
