Heartiest Congratulations

We congratulate Dr. Asarulislam Syed, Tarek Fateh, and Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmed on their courage to expose M.A. Jinnah’s politics with regards to the creation of Pakistan. We also appreciate Prof. Pervez Hoodbhoy, who spoke against the Two-Nation Theory and called the creation of Pakistan an “absurd idea” (in a recent interview with The Daily Star on March 26, 2022). And we are particularly grateful to Dr. Asarulislam Syed, who expressed his views about the respected Allama Mashriqi in his videos, which are available on the Internet.

It is rewarding for Allama Mashriqi’s grandson (researcher Nasim Yousaf) that these intellectuals and authors are reflecting his ideas about Jinnah and the partition of India. Mr. Yousaf has heavily criticized Jinnah and Gandhi’s politics and the partition of India in his books published in 2007 and 2013 respectively. Mr. Yousaf also wrote peer-reviewed articles in various publications, for example "India’s Partition in the Face of Opposition: An Unveiled Perspective," which was published by "Harvard Asia Quarterly" in 2009. He has also presented papers in New York academic conferences in 2007 and 2009 reflecting the same. Mr. Yousaf has published many newspaper articles in Eastern and Western countries on the same topic and his thoughts are widely shared on social media. The aforementioned intellectuals and authors' (as well others on social media) reflection of Mr. Yousaf's perspective confirm that Mr. Yousaf has changed the course of history. Indeed, it is a moment of pride for Mr. Yousaf that his hard work has paid off; there were many who suggested that criticizing Jinnah and Gandhi would be highly resented, but Mr. Yousaf chose to ignore their suggestions in order to eradicate animosity between Muslims and Hindus and bring peace to the region.

Mr. Yousaf has called for the formation of an independent commission to share the truth about the partition of India, which was one of the most damaging events in history and continues to have repercussions today. He has also invited Human Rights activists to condemn the massive killing and rapes, which were the result of the partition of India.

We urge you to read Mr. Yousaf’s books, which are available in Western research libraries and with online booksellers such as Amazon (some books are also available for download). Unfortunately, libraries and bookstores in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan still do not carry his books because their contents do not reflect the establishment narrative in those countries. In other words, his books are being censored by these countries.

We once again thank those men and women who have reflected Mr. Yousaf's analysis of Jinnah, Gandhi, and the partition of India. Thank you!
