Enugu State government under Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah flagged off the construction of the ultramodern Bus terminals in 4 major locations under the State Transport Infrastructure Project, the Holy Ghost central terminal, Garriki central terminal, Abakpa central terminal and Nsukka central terminal. So far there's been huge developments across the 4 locations.
The benefits of these terminals upon completion cannot be overemphasized as they will serve as central and intermediate locations for the mobility of passengers and freight, and often require specific facilities and equipment to accommodate the traffic they handle. They will play a very crucial role in improving the overall transportation system by reducing traffic congestion and promoting sustainable mobility. In addition, modern bus terminals provide facilities and services such as ticketing, waiting areas, and information displays, enhancing the overall passenger experience.
This will create a more enabling environment for investors to come into the state. These stations will be highly equipped with modern facilities and the deployment of data-driven smart- transport systems to monitor activities in the stations and enhance passenger experience.
It'll be the first of its kind across the country and beyond.
It doesn't end here though, the Enugu state government is ready to work with private institutions to make ENUGU STATE the business centre of the East. So this is a call to action for all investors home and abroad to think of investment in Enugu State.
