In this unboxing and review, I'll compare two popular sketchbook brands -- the Moleskine Watercolor Sketchbook and the Strathmore Art Journal Toned Tan Mixed Media Sketchbook. I'll create two separate watercolor and ink urban sketching scenes from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'll use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor for both travel journals. Through this video, you can better see how Moleskine's cold-press paper performs against Strathmore's mixed media paper. I'll discuss the pros and cons of each brand to help you pick the best sketchbook for your own art journaling or mixed media projects.
