It may have been 'the last of the gunfighters', but the F8U-2 feels much more reliant on its missile compliment in the top tier meta of War Thunder. Combine four Aim9D missiles with a 3000 meter airspawn and you have an incredible seal clubber. Hopefully with the addition of the new airfields for war thunder sim games we should see the removal of the F8's airspawn, as it is completely unnecessary considering how well the aircraft climbs.

Airspawn aside, the F8 performs very well - provided you don't take it into tight high speed turns (you WILL rip wings). Its guns are relatively potent, the missiles augment its lethality by a huge factor and it retains its energy well in vertical manoeuvres.
