Create a volume group (here called vg using a physical volume /dev/sdb1):
# vgcreate vg1 /dev/sdb1
Add a physical volume (here /dev/sdb2) to an existing volume group (here vg):
# vgextend vg1 /dev/sdb2
Remove a physical volume (here /dev/sdb1) from an existing volume group (here vg):
# vgreduce vg1 /dev/sdb2
Remove an existing volume group (here called vg):
# vgremove vg1
Get the list of the volume groups:
# vgs
#rhcsa #rhel #linux
