The Islamabad trial court has convicted PTI Chairman Imran Khan of "corrupt practices" in the Toshakhana case and handed him a three-year prison sentence.
Additionally, Imran has been fined Rs100,000 by the court.
The charges against the former prime minister were proven after he was indicted following a criminal complaint by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for concealing details of Toshakhana gifts.
Presiding over the hearing, Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Humayun Dilawar ruled that Imran Khan intentionally submitted false information to the ECP, leading to his conviction under Section 174 of the Election Act.
The court has instructed the Islamabad police chief to execute the order.
Notably, neither Imran nor his lawyers were present during the proceedings, with only lawyers allowed inside the courtroom. #ImranKhanConviction #ToshakhanaCase #ElectionAct #CorruptionVerdict #Pakistan #ImranKhan #pti
