In this video I am leveling an alt which is currently lvl 73 as a hybrid mage. It´s a sacred/occult build that uses both spells and attacks and doesn´t require any uniques though some uniques, as used in the video do make it better.
This build just require a melee weapon and a catalyst to get access to the skills used.
Since I use spells and attacks the major node in GoF called Residual Energy is picked which buffs attacks by 25% whenever I have used a spell first.This stacks with the 39% from the unique catalyst Mackfesten Enneract as well giving a nice dmg boost to Bleeding Edge. I also went for Beacon for the Lost for a total of 35% extra sacred dmg and Meditative Focus for 40% more dmg when enemies are more than 4m away.
For defense I use 2x Livor Mortis for 30% total dmg reduction. I also picked Branded Burst for further dmg reduction and Purifiers Will for 20% more dmg reduction when Force Shield is full. Last but not least I take Dire Juncture so I only take 50% dmg at first and the rest 1sec later. This allows me to regain health through life leech and health regeneration as my health regeneration ticks every 0.7sec which is why you want to get your regeneration rate below 1sec and also have some life leech. The node Feast for the Crows help with that if you don´t have any life leech on your gear.
For attributes you want to go 50/50 between ferocity and toughness or 75/25 if you feel like going a bit more glass canon.
