Let's now get a check on the weather conditions in Korea and around the world with our Kelly Park standing by. Hello Kelly!
Good afternoon! Yesterday's showers finally brought us some relief from the dry air and it looks like we'll have some nice warm spring weather starting today.
Well, it's great that things are going to warm up today. And I hear Daegu will get up to a high of 21 degrees. It's going to be downright hot over there.
Yes it certainly is. Daegu is generally thought of as the hottest city in Korea, but the capital doesn't seem to be far from reaching the 20s as well.
That's right, Seoul is also expected to hit 20 degrees at the end of the work week. So it's really going to be warm up here.
Moving on to today's forecast.
We'll see temperatures bump back up to higher than the seasonal averages, beginning a warming trend in our daily highs and creating good conditions for outdoor activity.
Meanwhile, we'll see the clouds gradually increase as we head into the evening, making for some potentially breezy conditions.
Now, you'll be a bit surprised by how warm things get over the next couple of days and we'll be enjoying temperatures that are typical of later in April under mostly sunny skies.
It might a feel a bit hotter than you're used to, but be sure to take advantage of the warmer weather, because we'll see a big dip in our temperatures over the weekend.
Moving over to our satellite map.
A high pressure system has moved in over the nation, providing the northern part of the country with an abundant amount of sunshine, but those of you down south can still expect to see a few clouds.
And finally checking on today's readings.
Seoul will rise up to 15 in the afternoon.
Daegu and Gwangju will jump up over 10 degrees to 21 and 17 and Busan will see a high of 19.
Jeju Island and other regions nearby will be mostly cloudy today.
Daejeon hits 18 and Mount Geumgang will also be warm with a temperature of 19.
That's all for Korea.
Here's a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.
