This was our first trip to Aruba. Before going I decided that I wanted to record our experiences. I chose to buy a GoPro BlackHero 11. There are a large number of tutorials that you can watch so you better understand what and how the GoPro works. The one thing I would add to those tutorials, remember, you are capturing and telling a story. You can tell that I was not very good at telling a story. I will get better.
When we arrived in Aruba, was stayed at the Wonders Boutique Hotel. It was a great place to stay. They provided a great room and beach chairs that we used everyday. It was extremely quiet and we loved it.
Our first beach stop was Boca Catalina. This was a great place to snorkel. One of the first things we noticed at the boat tours that came to the beach. We shared the water, the fish and the site without the cost
There was one tutorial I liked which was Gemini Connect [ Ссылка ]
There are others who are great at setting up and explaining how to capture and tell your story.
The settings I used were:
Water:
Res/FPS: 4K/60
Lens: Wide
HyperSmooth: AutoBoost
Scheduled Capture: Off
Duration: No Limit
Hindsight: Off
Timer: Off
Zoom: 1.0X
Protune
10 Bit: On
Bit Rate: Standard
Shutter: Auto
EV Comp: 0
White Balance: Auto
Color: Natural
Raw Auto: Med
Wind: On
Media Mod: Camera Mics
Sound: On
Rabbit/Quick Record: On
Orientation: On
The Sound when turned on and the Rabbit/Quick on worked extremely well underwater. I would hear when the camera turned off/on as well as hearing when I would start and stop recording
I used DaVinci Resolve 18.5 ([ Ссылка ]) to edit and put together my videos. It's free and works well. The one suggestion I would stress is - watch the tutorial videos before and during your edits. This is an big program and can do a lot. Once you work your way through your edits, it becomes much easier.
Good Luck and Have Fun
