MUSIC ENTHUSIAST AT ITS HEART
When LEAK launched the iconic STEREO 30 in 1963, it swiftly became Britain’s favourite ‘step-up’ from the standard budget amplifiers of the time. Now, in the year 2020, LEAK harnesses the latest technology to deliver an affordable integrated amplifier of the same philosophy; the STEREO 130 - fully equipped to meet the demands of modern music lovers, from vinyl record playback to digital streaming.
The LEAK STEREO 130 is high performance, high fidelity integrated amplifier designed for the modern-day audio enthusiast. It is designed to be the perfect match to a wide variety of sources and provides the necessary amplification to realise the highest quality of your stored music through your loudspeakers and headphones, or even an expanded high-fidelity system, via the pre-amp functionality.
The LEAK STEREO 130 can be connected to a host of analogue and digital sources, thanks to its diversity of inputs. A built-in Moving Magnet (MM) phono pre-amplifier allows for direct connection to turntable record players. To fully accommodate the modern-day music enthusiast, much effort has been made to ensure the LEAK STEREO 130 ’s digital circuitry delivers the level of quality one might expect of a high-performance standalone D/A converter, let alone an integrated amplifier solution.
You can also stream music to the LEAK STEREO 130 from any Bluetooth device, such as portable music players, tablet PCs or smartphones, via the built-in aptX and AAC Bluetooth codec. One can therefore enjoy CD quality audio over the Bluetooth wireless connection.
Carefully designed in line with the LEAK ethos of performance, reliability and craftsmanship, the LEAK STEREO 130 matches contemporary performance with stand-out, classic LEAK styling.

LEAK: the return of a British audio pioneer
Founded in 1934 by Harold Joseph Leak, pioneering British hi-fi manufacturer LEAK was a mid-twentieth century trailblazer in the field of high-performance audio equipment.
LEAK has been responsible for many technological firsts. For example, the Point One series of valve amplifiers (1945) were the first to reduce total harmonic distortion to 0.1 per cent, and the ground-breaking Trough-Line FM radio tuner (1955) is still considered one of the finest FM tuners ever made.
LEAK’s Sandwich speakers (1961) heralded true-piston cone action by sandwiching polystyrene foam between outer skins of stiff aluminium foil. And the Stereo 30 all-transistor amplifier (1963) spearheaded the use of transformerless transistor output stages over then-standard transformer-coupled designs, thus paving the way for future solid-state amps.
Following a 40-year hiatus, LEAK – now part of the International Audio Group alongside Audiolab, Luxman, Mission, Quad and Wharfedale – has launched two new audio components: the Stereo 130 integrated amplifier and CDT CD transport, fusing retro design, classic analogue engineering and the latest digital technologies.
