First heard this beautiful Hungarian dance tune from 17th century during Hollóének Hungarica's concert at the Jagiellonian Fair in Lublin last year, not long ago I came across a video by Zoltán Arany, in which he played it on Hungarian duda and finally decided to transpose it to the Scottish pipes. The title simply translates as "The Dance of Apor Lázár", Apor Lázár himself was a nobleman and this was his favourite song. Probably this is the first time anyone has played it on the Great Highland Bagpipes. Dedicated to Inga, Zoltán, Lajos and the rest of Hollóének Hungarica! :)
