Te Matatini chief executive Carl Ross says he has a contingency plan for an alternative venue to host this year’s long-awaited Te Matatini Herenga Waka Herenga Tāngata festival if the weather continues to cause destruction and closes Eden Park. But some haka fans and kaihaka taking to social media calling it to be postponed altogether to allow affected regions to clean up and continue the recovery process.
