The Argentine Air Force (FAA) has received the first EMB-312 Tucano light attack and trainer aircraft with enhanced avionics on August 5.
The aircraft was upgraded through a contract with a domestic company, Redimec.
This is the first of four Tucano aircraft to be upgraded with a new digital instrument panel, including the use of night vision goggles (NVG).
This revitalization of the aircraft will affect the new navigation systems, main flight instruments, communications and engine monitoring parameters.
The modifications were carried out purely by the Argentinian company without Embraer technical support. This conversion to the T-27M standard was carried out at an FAA facility.
This aircraft manufactured under license from Embraer.
Argentina first received the EMB-312 Tucano from Embraer in 1987.
