The REAL Reason General Grievous Coughed The coughing of General Grievous, has been attributed to an encounter with Mace Windu, in the 2003 version of the clone wars, when the Jedi master crushed the chest of the cyborg with the Force, during the attacks on Coruscant, but what was the real reason for the coughing of Grievous? The origins of Grievous’ coughing, derives from his painful transformation to a cyborg, and in the aftermath of a shuttle crash, secretly designed by Dooku and the Separatists, Darth Sidious and the medical droids, would have to choose which parts of the broken Grievous they could retain. The Sith ultimately decided to keep Grievous’ brain, spinal cord and internal organs, using a similar procedure to later transform Vader, but his organs and especially his lungs, remained weak from the crash. This was intended to restrict Grievous, from trying to overthrow the Sith, and combined with his stinging implants, the cyborg would maintain a constant cough. Be sure to subscribe for more content.
