This year is a special year because Suntech celebrates it’s 20th birthday, congratulations Suntech! 2020 has been a strong and good year for Suntech. Business grow and production continued, positive news. More exciting news is the expansion of the warranty to 15 years as apposed to the main stream warranty of 12 years that is the standard in the market
04:10 New products, the panels are getting bigger
20 years ago there were may sizes of modules in the market, then a more standard size came that everybody worked with. And right now, there is again a lot of going on in terms of dimensions of modules because cell/ wavers are getting bigger.

The Ultra S is the standard module right now used for rooftop installations.
06:08 NEW: Ultra V
Ultra V series 182mm cell, this will be the new standard for the European market. Especially for the rooftop market this Full black module goes up to 400Wp.

For the upcoming year the big modules for free field installations will come as well. Big indeed, 600Wp, especially for projects.

Cell efficiency is very important, and is getting better. Modules with 182mm cell have an higher efficiency. Also, the Ultra V series have 182mm cells, more modules in one string is possible. That’s very good news! Suntech really shows their knowhow in their developments.

The Netherlands and Germany are one of the biggest markets in Europe. WP’s per person in the Netherlands is one of the largest markets in Europe. Also Poland is coming up as a strong PV market. Spain and France are starting to pick up again as well. Everything has to do with the European policy and meeting the climate goals. Suntech is well prepared for this growth because they will be doubling their production capacity to 10GW. For 2021 the aim is to double this number again.

Over the years the prices of modules have gone down year after year. There are so many variables that influence the price, for example, aluminum, glass. During the Corona pandemic transport costs have became an extra factor.
