With the 1.19 update comes the ability of DayZ Custom Community Server owners to have a "no gadgets required" map option - players can see the map and their location without having to have found the GPS Receiver, Tourist Map or Compass.
On PC to bring this map up (if configured on the server) you just press "m" on your keyboard, but unfortunately at the moment there is no equivalent key or controller binding for Xbox or PlayStation controllers - you need to plug in a USB keyboard, enable it in the game options, and press "m" on that.
