Seen here is an exclusive inside view of a new EMR *9999 Mercedes Sprinter ambulance racing through the busy streets of downtown Ho Chi Minh City (aka. Saigon) for a serious medical case regarding a patient with chest pain and breathing problems, who was transported to the emergency room for treatment. To assist the driver in clearing the streets I myself made good use of the electronic siren horn to alert motorists and pedestrians to the approaching ambulance. Drivers in Vietnam generally have little to no education and awareness on how to properly react and give way to emergency vehicles, and sirens are usually just ignored. Car horns however are frequently used while driving in everyday life and I therefore tried to see if motorists would react better to increased use of the siren horn, with some good results! Traffic can be much worse in Ho Chi Minh City. Please excuse the shakiness as I was filming with one hand while operating the horn.
