A short documentary made by multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Mandy van Pelt @Plakplaatjes about the making of Garden of Queerdom (GOQ)
GOQ is a herbal community care project, that centers the LGBTQ+ community and their needs in relation to care. How do we care for ourselves, each other and the earth during a time of (social) injustice? How can the earth (and thus our plant allies) provide a space for us to care and be cared for? How can we shift from hyper individualised relations of care to reciprocal ways of caring?
The documentary gives an insight into the process of the maker (@latoyahburlace) and the collaborations and connections that have come from this project.
