If you are new to knitting, you are probably wondering how to best match a yarn to a knitting needle. Understanding yarn weight and what knitting needles pairs the best is an important foundational concept to grasp. Of course, you can go way off script and do all sorts of things! But I always think it's best to first understand the guidelines and why we have them before getting experimental. In this video I'm going to show you two extreme examples of yarn weight and knitting needle size. Take some time after the video to sit with the yarn you have and look at what your label is telling you.
