Recuerdos de la Alhambra by Francisco Tarrega played by Swedish guitarist Johan Abrahamsson. The instrument is a copy of a guitar made in 1888 by Antonio de Torres (SE114) which was owned by Francisco Tarrega. The original guitar has back and sides made by rosewood. This copy was made with maple back and sides instead and the thickness of the wood has been changed with the ambition to get close to the original characteristics of the original instrument. A different rosette and a modern neck is other specs the has been changed. In every other aspect this instrument is true to the original following the measures made by Jeffrey Elliot and his thorough examination af the original instrument. This Copy was made by Johan Abrahamsson in 2006 with the guidance from Swedish master luthier Per Hallgren. Without his guidance the result would definitely been different both in appearance and sound.
