I crack open a Toyota genuine oil filter

Amsoil claims Toyota filters to be only 50% efficient at 20 microns

People say it’s because the outside folds are not sealed

Is that true? No. They are actually glued. So the 50% efficiency is likely due to the filter media itself.

I will stop using the Toyota filters in favour of Fram ultra ones
