ABRSM Piano 2021 2022 Grade 2 A6 Goedicke Étude in A minor, Op 36 No 13 by Hampstead Piano Academy.

Pupil of Rimski-Korsakov and piano teacher at the Moscow Conservatoire, Alexander Goedicke was a contemporary of Rachmaninov and Stravinsky.

This Etude in A minor presents a never-ending melody in the form of an arpeggio and an ornamented tune. It grows in intensity towards the middle of the piece and returns to the initial mood at the end.
