Selected from a longlist of 25, Hugh McEwen is one of nine emerging architects making up this year's RIBAJ Rising Star cohort, in collaboration with Origin.
Hugh’s portfolio from his six-year-old practice, Office S&M, impressed the judges - he was singled out for his ‘innovation in materials and outcome’. As the creator of Janus House and its famous rubber coating, Hugh is an experimenter extraordinaire, compulsively interrogating colour and materials.
In this video, Hugh talks about his work and interests in architecture, in particularly on why colour is an important tool for architects. Find out more about Hugh here: [ Ссылка ]
