It’s not every landowner who’d agree to turn part of their back yard into a wetland. But Patti and Vince Bosket are doing just that to their property in rural Leavenworth, with help from the Cascadia Conservation District. The nonprofit has installed a network of Beaver Dam Analogs, which mimic the function of natural beaver dams, on the Boskets’ land along Eagle Creek. NCWLIFE caught up with Cascadia on-site to learn about the project, designed to restore new life to old watersheds.
