Speakers in this session explored the long-term benefits of the MSCA schemes, including its impact on the UK research landscape, on international collaborations and on participating researchers.
Dajana Dzanovic from UK Universities International (UUKi) highlighted the impact of the MSCA schemes on the UK Research and Innovation landscape and advocated for continued UK engagement in MSCA schemes. Quentin Loisel and Maria Magdalena Razalan introduced the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), an international non-profit organization for MSCA-funded researchers with 22,000 members worldwide and organised in 36 geographical chapters. They highlighted the benefits of being part of the broader MCAA community, and the instrumental role that MCAA plays in supporting MSCA-funded researchers in their careers.
About this event: To celebrate the UK's association to Horizon Europe and to promote UK participation in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) funding scheme, the European Commission, the UK Research Office and Universities UK International (UUKi) jointly hosted an in-person event on 26 June.
