The year 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. This is the fourth and final panel in a series led by AEI’s Danielle Pletka and Gary J. Schmitt that seeks to provide a fact-based analysis of the Iraq War—the run-up, the war itself, and the aftermath. This panel will discuss the aftermath of the war, where Iraq is today, and its place in America’s broader strategy in the Middle East.
