OUTFITS start at 6:25
I’m celebrating the liberated fashion of Fran Fine, including the accomplishments of Fran Drescher and costume designer Brenda Cooper, while acknowledging a few of the ways in which The Nanny (1993-1999) does—and doesn’t—hold up. My outfits are a combination of recreations and “duping the vibes” (a term coined by Hannah Louise Poston), and I make them from vintage, secondhand, or otherwise sustainably and ethically sourced pieces. Yay sustainable fashion!
