Hello everyone, happy holiday season!
I'm so excited to share this duck and goose ornament make-along, I've made a little gaggle of geese and a doodle of ducks as I've prepared for this video and I hope I'll make quite a few more before Christmas - they really are so simple, fun, and affordable :)
I wanted these ornaments to look very old and aged, like vintage or antique cotton batting ornaments and I demonstrate two different methods using slightly different materials. I really recommend trying out the cornstarch paste, I'm very sold on it... I will not make any claims about it as far as whether it holds up in damp weather or attracts critters because I don't know -- all I know is that there are lots of surviving antique cotton ornaments made with corn or potato starch so in theory, they can last a long time. But there are always exceptions or strange things that can happen, like anything, there is no guarantee against "natural disasters" ;)

This video went very long and so I had to make a separate video for the accessories like the Christmas puddings and little packages and I'll post that very soon, I hope within a day or two of this one and once it's up, it will be linked here.
I hope you'll enjoy watching, listening, or making along with me, and that you'll make some really charming little keepsake birds for loved ones or for yourself.
Thanks so much for supporting my work and the channel and happy making to you!
