GraphQL was created to cater to the mobile-first, cloud-first generation of backends. GraphQL, since its inception, has reinvented itself quite a bit with new capabilities like subscription back in the 2018 spec release.
With the new spec release, GraphQL strengthens its type system with more capable interfaces and allows for pipelining features through repeatable directives. Moreover, we are finally getting support for @stream and @defer in modern GraphQL Servers that take full advantage of async iterators.
This talk will explore how to take advantage of these new capabilities and how to build a next-generation mobile-first, cloud-first GraphQL backend with the revamped ASP.NET Core 6 web stack.
