Welcome to my channel. Here is how to make this beautiful, easy and delicious glazed ham.
Here are the ingredients:
one 7-9 pound ham
1 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup grainy brown mustard
2 cloves of garlic minced
3 oranges zested and juiced
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon of each chili powdered, cinnamon powder and paprika
A pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions:
1. Let ham sit one hour for room temperature before beginning.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
3. Mage the glaze by mixing ingredients on medium- high heat and let it come to a boil. Then lower temperature and let it simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
4. Place ham on roasting pan flat side down. Brush half of glaze over ham and in between slices. Then add 1/4 cup of water in bottom of pan.
5. Tent the ham with foil loosely. Bake 10 minutes per pound. I had a 9 pound ham I put it in for an hour and a half.
6. Take ham out and uncover foil, you will not be needing it any more. Brush remaining glaze on ham and bake for 15 minutes.
7. Take ham out and baste and put ham back into oven uncovered for another 15 minutes.
8. Serve and enjoy.
