On Wednesday 1st December 2021 at 11:00hrs UTC, ASTRA left Lanzarote on the 1st leg of her circumnavigation.

The challenge was a world first for a motorboat under 24 metres to complete a circumnavigation via all of the Capes in the Southern Hemisphere:

Cape of Good Hope, South Africa
Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia
South East Cape, Tasmania
South Cape, New Zealand
Cape Horn, Chile.
