This video is about my experience in learning to write after my stroke. This is called agraphia - without writing. I had a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) rupture that damaged my left angular gyrus. This is a part of my braid involved in a number of processes related to language, number processing and spatial cognition, memory retrieval, attention, and theory of mind.
Before this injury, I was a PhD candidate in measurements and methods and studying bicycling in Ontario. I am also a mom to two school aged children, Norah and Oscar. The injury happened in June 2020.
