We were lucky enough to be invited to join Team Sky riders Geraint Thomas, Mikel Landa and Michal Kwiatkowski for a testing day on their road bikes and time trial bikes on the velodrome in Mallorca.
Team Sky have pioneered the 'marginal gains' approach. This means that they look at every aspect that might affect a rider's performance and then look at how they can tweak, tune and polish these factors to get the most from their riders.
It's an approach that's paid dividends with three Tour de France wins.
