Climat is a layer 2 EVM compatible blockchain platform only focused on green, climate, sustainability based assets. The first Dapp on Climat is climat.today, enabling tokenization of only climate linked assets such as carbon credits, biodiversity credits, and water/waste/plastic credits in the future. Climat.today is digitizing the entire stack of project development, 3rd party verification, MRV, and voluntary carbon offset tokenization. We believe that Climat.today can bring in much needed traceability and transparency to the voluntary carbon market.

Climat aims to solve for:
1. Inaccurate climate reporting: Businesses face significant problems in managing multiple reporting frameworks, something that is a regulatory requirement in most countries signing up for net-zero, but where there are limited or no solutions available to participants to effectively manage the process.

2. Greenwashing: For participants looking to purchase offsets, a key problem area is identifying trustworthy assets and avoiding the pitfalls of greenwashed assets.

3. Climate asset liquidity: While several carbon markets run in isolation across the world, a seamless ecosystem is not yet in place that can provide efficient issuance to investment depth across offset assets, such as carbon credits/ VERs/plastic credits.
