Bulgari is one of the finest luxury brands known today. It was founded in Rome, Italy in 1884 by Greek silversmith Sotirios Bulgari. The founder came from a long line of silversmiths and his craftsmanship and passion fueled this iconic Italian jewelry brand for over a century. These days, Bulgari is easily recognized by their unique logo but they're remembered for their magnificent jewelry collections, most notably their Serpenti collection that dates back to the 1940's.

#1: Classifications like "luxury" or "high-end" are synonymous with expensive. A luxury brand is expensive by nature and while Bulgari is one of them, it is not THE most expensive out there.
#2: They create timeless handmade jewelry that is unbelievably physically INTRICATE. It's exclusive because it's been artfully hand-crafted by skilled jewelers using only the finest materials. Imagine the level of precision needed for an artist painting enamel onto gold, for example. Its price tag reflects not only the effort put forth but as well as the exclusivity that comes with limited supply. Let's take their Serpenti collection for instance. The snake's scales are meticulously hinged together, piece by piece. This is done so that the jewelry, be it a necklace, a bracelet or a ring, coils around the finger as realistically as a serpent would. The Serpenti collection has been around for 80 years and since it's inception, it has been reinvented time and time again.
#2: Bulgari has been around since 1884. In the year 2020, that means the company has been in business for 136 years. Longevity and consistency will certainly drive up value.

#3: Celebrities like Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Bella Hadid and many others adore Bulgari, to the point that Who What Wear magazine has stated that, "Celebs who can choose anything are wearing Bulgari."
#4: Made in Italy just has a good ring to it, doesn't it? But let's not forget how their jewelry is inspired by Roman and Greek mythology, making for unique and highly detailed creations.

Bulgari is in fact spelled Bulgari with the 'u.' If you don't believe me or if you ever forget, just check their website. 😁 The reason the logo causes so much confusion is because what looks to us like the letter 'v,' is actually a Roman numeral. Bulgari incorporated this Roman numeral into their logo to give a nod to their heritage. The logo that we know today only dates back to 1934. Previous to that, the logo actually had the founder's first initial 'S' in front of it but we like the redesign a lot better.
