Brighton Beach in Southern England was incredible and in my experience, much better than London. It's more quaint, quieter, smaller and easier to get around by foot, and in general just more appealing. Prices at least outside of peak summer season are lower, and the quality of food seems to be higher. I had the best fish and chips there, and loved it so much that I ended up spending four nights down there.
