The stakes have never been this high for the Gandhi family. This can be possibly the make it or break it election for not only Gandhi family but the Congress party itself. Not only the party has to focus on winning constituencies across the nation but it also has to ensure that it saves its bastion first. The biggest state of the country is Uttar Pradesh and also the one that has a history of laying down a roadmap for the ultimate goal i.e. seat at Delhi. Well, last time when the Congress party was faced with the Saffron storm in Uttar Pradesh, the only two seats that did not get washed away were Amethi and Rae Bareli. The fortress of Congress and especially the Gandhi dynasty. What will happen this time? If the Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi survived the saffron surge across UP in 2014- the modi wave election then they might as wll hold these seats this time too.
