Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu admits there are challenges but has questioned accusations that South Africa is experiencing a water crisis. He says his department is working to ensure South Africa does not suffer water shortages by 2030.
It's estimated that demand will outstrip supply globally by 2030.
