The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says it would be difficult to say the polls on the Voice to Parliament aren’t reflecting the feeling being felt now in the public.
The latest Newspoll published in The Australian shows support for the Voice has dropped to its lowest level at just 36 per cent.
Australians will head to the ballot box to cast their vote in the Voice referendum on October 14, despite polling indicating it could be heading for defeat.
“It is very hard to see that these polls are not on the money,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I think there’s a real warning for people who are campaigning, door knocking.”
