So as we all know with the 5.4 banners, we do have a new character in this patch which is Mizuki, and she is a five star anemo catalyst user from Inazuma who may be in the standard banner after that patch. We have not had a standard banner character for a while, so it definitely makes sense that we do have one go to the standard banner again, and her kit definitely seems standard banner worthy even though it is a pretty good kit. Now as per some information I will dive into later in the video, she is pretty much confirmed to be in the first phase of the patch, so that is right after lantern rite. However, still take all of the information in this video as speculatory because it pretty much is, as we are so early into 5.3 and the information about 5.4 is very limited.

Now to move on to the other characters in this patch, something that can help confirm who these characters are is through what the blessings are in the abyss. The blessings basically give buffs that align with the kits of the characters in that patch, so if we take a look at the 5.4 abyss, we can see who the rerun banners are. Beginning with the first phase, the first half says that swirl damage dealt by the active character is increased by 75%, and so this is clearly pertaining to Mizuki since she deals with swirls and is an anemo unit. As a result, we can conclude that Mizuki is practically confirmed to be in the first phase, and regardless, it is pretty common for hoyo to release a new character in the first phase. Moving on to the other blessing in the first phase, it says that character’s charged attack cryo damage is increased by 75%, and so this really leads us to either Ayaka or Wriothesley. While Wriothesley’s skill relies on normal attacks and Ayaka doesn’t really benefit from charged attacks, it is still very likely for these two to get a rerun considering Ganyu is in the chronicled banner, so it does not make sense for her to be there. Additionally, I do think it is Wriothesley in here considering that I think Ayaka will be present in 5.4 in a different way.

Moving on to the second phase of the banners, we can see the abyss in March (which is when the second half of the banners would be) has a blessing where the hydro damage of the elemental skill is increased by 75%. This practically confirms Furina to get her banner in this patch, considering that her elemental skill deals practically all of her damage, which is pretty expected. The other description is that the character’s plunging attacks DMG is increased by 75%, and so this is also pretty telling to be Xianyun considering that she works with plunging attacks.

Now I did mention how I think Ayaka will still be in these banners, and what I mean by that is that we are allegedly getting another chronicled wish banner in this patch, and considering how dry this patch seems, it makes sense. The chronicled wish banner we get this time is said to be Inazuma, so it is very likely for us to see characters like Ayaka, Ayato, Yae Miko, and Kokomi to name just a few potential characters.
