Accelerating equitable access to innovative technologies for cervical cancer elimination: A collective effort across sectors
Leveraging the opportunity of the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit, the audience and platform, this session seeks to showcase examples of effective partnerships and approaches, recognising the role of all sectors in the implementation and scale-up of innovative technologies. The session will highlight key principles or opportunities that could be taken forward in other contexts and countries to drive forward progress towards cervical cancer elimination. The objectives of this session are as follows;
- Deconstruct and highlight the different roles of key sectors in achieving the cervical cancer elimination ambition.
- Showcase examples of how different sectors can contribute to the achievement of cervical cancer elimination targets.
- Explore the complementarity, alignment and opportunities for effective collaboration.
This session is closely aligned with the WCLS theme of ‘Driving innovation to advance cancer control equitably’ and builds on the series of UICC’s Virtual Dialogues focused on cervical cancer elimination, which seek to inspire national action towards elimination of cervical cancer in all countries. These dialogues to date have welcomed more than 700 participants to learn, discuss and share experiences on key topics, such as health convergence and the roadmap to 2030.
