Honda has launched the 2022 edition of the 110cc scooter, the Genio, in Indonesia. The 2022 model year has received a bunch of updates which make it more enticing than before. The design of the 2022 Genio is funky and youthful. There’s a curvy front apron that houses a boxy headlamp flanked by angular turn indicators. The sides of this apron extend under the footboard and up to the sleek and long rear section. The handlebar gets a tiny cowl at the centre while being partially exposed. Select colour options get beige footboard and seat which make them look even more attractive. As for the features, the Honda Genio comes equipped with a full-LED lighting setup, a digital console, parking brake lock, side stand engine cut-off switch, and a USB charging port. Honda has also equipped the scooter with an idling stop system, which aids in saving fuel, and a combi braking system. The under-seat storage, at 14 litres, is quite measly as compared to what scooters get traditionally. The Genio is powered by a 110cc motor that has been retained from the previous model. With power and torque output figures of 8.5bhp and 9.3Nm, respectively, it’s more powerful as compared to the Activa 6G that’s sold in India. It rides on 12-inch wheels, which is smaller as compared to its predecessor’s 14-inch units. Damping duties are handled by telescopic forks and a monoshock while the braking setup includes a disc-drum combination.
