Your Harley-Davidson crank case gases are vented directly into your intake system, this is oxygen depleted nasty air. This air contains condensate and oil vapor which coats your intake valves and pistons robbing your motorcycle of power and reducing engine life. Over time this will lead to detonation, reduced power and it can even change your tune and make your motorcycle run poorly. Installing an external breather system reroutes this nasty air out of your intake and into a catch can or vents it to the open air. A catch can will condense the oil vapor and condensate where all you have to do is empty it periodically. This gives you a cleaner running engine and near carbon free pistons, no more detonation concerns or having to retune your motorcycle to compensate!
