Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in his Parliament speech, talked about the drop in international oil prices and unchanged petrol prices in India, besides assuring of achieving fiscal deficit without budgetary cuts. Arun Jaitley has claimed that though central government has dropped fuel prices, state governments are increasing their VATs thereby nullifying the petrol price drop.
