Lake Wanaka is a must-see when visiting the South Island (Otago region) of New Zealand. Aside from the stunning view, one of the highlights is the Wanaka Tree, which is nicknamed as "That Wanaka Tree."

That Wanaka Tree is a willow tree that grows alone in the water. This video documents my experience when I visited the tree last April 2024.

Wanaka Tree location - if you face the lake, walk or drive left along the edge of the lake coming from town and you'll eventually reach the Wanaka Tree.
