(9 Mar 2016) Iraq's Defence Minister Khalid al-Obeidi said on Wednesday that the Islamic State Group uses chlorine gas.
During his visit to the province of Salahuddin north of Baghdad, al-Obeid said that the Islamic State Group uses the gas to try and affect the morale of Iraqi soldiers but it has no affect.
He said that intelligence shows the Islamic State Group did not have any other chemical weapons.
Al-Obeidi also said that even if the Islamic State Group had chemical weapons, Iraq would be able to defeat them.
