Northern Thai food at your local private library? A place where kids can play, and parents can enjoy triple-serving combo meals for just 99 Baht each - is this too good to be true?!
I had to find the answer for myself, and I thank you for joining me for this gorgeous, green, and ULTRA tasty exploration of Phrao District, Chiang Mai, in Northern Thailand.
The dishes we eat today at Siri Meuang Phrao are (in order)
- Nam Prik Num, Gaeng Fuk Fang, and Kaw Moo Yang
- Gaeng Hung Lay, Nam Prik Kanun, and Gaeng Gai
- Sai Oua, Nam Prik Ma-Kuea, and Tom Saep
Each selection of 3 comes with free sticky rice, water is free (but there are tons of other drinks and coffee available at their takeout counter), and this HAS to be one of the most tasty, affordable, AND beautiful (location inside and out!) places that I have ever been for a lunchtime in Thailand.
Amazing place, I cannot recommend it enough.
**This is the starting point for one of the races in the Chiang Mai local hill climb scene, the Khun Jae KOM Challenge starts from about 1km away from this restaurant :)
