EA FC 24 tutorial for how to cancel a pass or a shot. This move is incredibly useful in tricking your opponent. When the passing animation starts, you can cancel its full animation. When you do this, it causes an unpredictable movement that your opponent did not expect.

It works the same way for skill moves also. On all 🎮 the buttons for it are the same. Here I demonstrate it with a PlayStation controller. Ultimately all controllers have exactly similar layout for the bumpers and triggers.

In this EA FC 24 gameplay example the opponent commited with their player, once they saw the passing animation starting. Then my player performed the skill / shot cancel and started sprinting. It opened up a great opportunity for scoring a long shot.
