Mr Jitender presented with a growth on the left border of his tongue. Biopsy proved it to be a squamous carcinoma. Surgery was done in the form of a partial glossectomy and left modified neck dissection. Usually, such patients require some radiation therapy. But four months post-surgery, a PET CT of the whole body shows no local, regional or distant evidence of his disease.
